Protection of cutting edge in a noncontact manner.
Ideal method for diamond and CBN tools!
| You can measure various cutting edge shapes. |
| Speedy shape recognition function is adopted. |
| Image processing method reduces human errors. |
@@Advantages of IC1
| Move the camera. (Press the red button to release the camera position lock.) |
| You can observe real image by shedding light on the cutting edge. (Effective in checking on cutting edge tipping.) |
| Turning the jog dial allows you to perform all the operations on the display such as selection and decision of selection contents and value input. |
| You can fix the spindle at any position throughout 360-degree and at exact position in 90-degree increments. |
@@Primary functions of IC1
| R-shape radius measurement |
| You can measure tip nose radius and R-shape of ball-nosed end mill through cutting edge automatic recognition or manual operation. (Three or more measurement points are necessary.) |
| Real image check on cutting edge |
| If you switch to the front light during measurement, you can check for abrasion and tipping on the cutting edge in real pictures. |
| Runout measurement of cylindrically-shaped tools. |
| You can check cylinder runout if you align the measuring line (standard line) on the display to the cylinder circumference and rotate the spindle by 360-degree. |
| Runout measurement for multiple cutting edges |
| Enter the number of teeth and its shape of the cutting edge to be measured and then rotate the spindle by 360-degree. The unit automatically recognizes the maximum and minimum values to allow users to check runout accuracy. |
@@Advantages of IC3
| Extensive measuring programs |
| You can perform measurement of higher quality that IC1 doesn't have. (Change in measurement location, measurement of multiple cutting edge, retention of maximum value, acceptance evaluation of preset values, etc) |
| Attach the holder with a vacuum clamp securely. |
| You can perform command selection and execution not only from the mouse and the function key on the keyboard but also from the touch panel on the display |
| Desk top is organized neatly since the table can house a PC. |
@@Primary functions of IC3
| Change in measurement spot |
| If there are a number of measurement spots on the display, you can change measurement points quickly by moving the measurement range with a mouse without moving the camera. |
| You can measure height, diameter (Z, X), and nose radius by overlapping cross lines and a circle on cutting edge measuring section. |
If cutting edge shadow is not visible, you can perform manual measurement while observing a real image of the cutting edge by switching to the front light.
¦Effective in measuring O.D. boring. |
| You can display the tool set-point with an arrow within the screen to have it guide the presetting. The distance from the present cutting tool location to the set point is displayed with a bar in the screen. When the bar becomes a smallest dot (green), guiding is OK. |
| Comparison with set tolerances |
| Setting tolerances for tools allows the unit to make comparison with measurement results and determine whether OK or NG. |
| Rotating the spindle by 360-degree allows the unit to recognize the maximum and minimum values of plural pieces of cutting edges and measure their runouts. The measurement results can be graphically displayed on the screen. |
| Observation of real image of cutting edge |
| You can observe images at 20 to 100-fold magnification to check for abrasion or tipping on the cutting edge. |
